Samsung Fascinate For Free At Amazon.com
The Samsung Galaxy S family of phones was hotly anticipated. We found the Samsung Epic 4G to be a solid smartphone. And while we haven’t received our review unit of the Samsung Fascinate, we’re sure it’s a good phone too. If you’re in the market for the Fascinate, you’ll find that like the Vibrant and Captivate, Amazon.com is now offering the phone for free (or, $0.01).

Amazon Wireless doesn’t give away phones for free with a two-year service contract, they instead charge $0.01. We believe this has something to do with their accounting system and not being able to charge nothing, but regardless, it’s practically a free phone for a two-year contract.
What’s particularly nice about this deal is that Verizon introduced the phone at $200 and and they’re still selling the phone at that price point. So, unless you have to buy the phone from Verizon for some reason, you’ve got a great deal from Amazon waiting for you.
Want to recap the features of the Samsung Fascinate?
- 4-inch Super OLED screen
- Android 2.1
- 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor
- 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording
- 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM
The Samsung Fascinate was the most recent Samsung Galaxy S to be released in the United States, and seems to be the last special variant. US Cellular is set to get a generic Samsung Galaxy S sometime in the future, and some retailers have been selling stock-spec Samsung Galaxy S phones for GSM networks for sometime.
What say you? $0.01 Samsung Fascinate on Verizon, a good deal? Tell us your take in the comments section.
