Panasonic Let'snote J9 Netbook-Sized Notebook Unveiled & Heading For Japan
Panasonic has recently unveiled their latest in terms of portable computers. And while it has the display size of a netbook, it has other features that are more similar to that of a regular sized notebook. The model is the Panasonic Let’snote J9 and it appears to be heading to Japan.

Panasonic has announced an availability date of October 15th. And interestingly enough, it does appear to ship with that black leather-looking cover, which sort of makes it look like a book when folded.
In terms of those specs. The Panasonic Let’snote J9 features include a 10.1 inch display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, 2.53GHz Intel Core i5-460M processor, 2GB of RAM, 128GB SSD and Windows 7 Home Premium. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports, SDXC memory card slot and an option to add in WiMax. In terms of weight, that was noted as being 990g or 1,205g with the cover attached.
And yes the name is a little silly sounding, but otherwise the battery life was tipped at being up to 12 hours, which even cut in half is still rather impressive. So far nothing was mentioned in terms of availability outside of Japan, though if I have to venture a guess, I would say it is not likely. If nothing else, this is an interestingly spec’d device considering the 10 inch display.
If for some reason those specs were a little more than you were looking for, there is also word of a similar and slightly lower powered model. That model is the CF-J9N and it will have an Intel Core i3-370M processor, 7.5 hour battery life and a 160GB hard drive as opposed to the SSD.
As for price, it looks like the notebook (with the higher-end specs) will be selling for $2.140, but once again, we are not expecting this one to arrive outside of the Japanese market.
