HTC Lexikon Pictures Revealed By Spycam

The Upcoming HTC Slider For Verizon Looks A Lot Like The T-Mobile G2, Tmo Users Pout

Previously, we had only seen the fabled HTC Lexikon in leaked and blurry CGI renders. Now, it’s actually been seen in reality. Pictured below are the shots that were sent into blog BGR. They were provided by a tipster and show the phone that has been previously called the HTC Lexikon/Lexicon. But, BGR just calls it the “HTC handset destined for Verizon Wireless.”

In our opinion, it looks a lot like the T-Mobile G2, also known as the HTC Desire Z. They both look to have similar form factors and screen size and both have that unique HTC “hiding not sliding” keyboard design. The keyboard layout is the only thing different about the handset. You’ve got speculate at this point that this is some extremely similar off-shoot of the Desire Z. If everything else is the same, you have to give the nod to this phone, considering its sexy black look.

BGR and their tipster report that it is running Android 2.2 It’s got a 5MP camera, a microSD slot and SIM card for global jetsetters on Verizon. All in all, it sounds very similar to the T-Mobile G2/HTC Desire Z to us. This wasn’t included from the tipster, but with US exclusivity contracts being what they are, we suspect that the T-Mobile G2 may come out first with this model being introduced sometime after, and obviously not being named anything similar to T-Mobile G2.

Verizon customers, does this phone strike your fancy? Tell us what you think in the comments.
