Two New Palm webOS 2.0 Smartphones Spotted in the Wild?
webOS 2.0 has been spotted more than once running on a certain Roadrunner device and since then we’ve seen plenty of screenshots to make us feel pretty confident about the future of Palm as a smartphone maker. But where are the new handsets and how come we don’t get to see them in rumors?

On comparison Windows Phone 7, announced all the way back at MWC 2010 this year is launching only in October and November, but WP7 phones have been featured on more than one occasion in various leaks and rumors so we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Microsoft and its partners.
But Palm, granted it had to go through a lot recently, isn’t saying anything about any potential new Pre successors. And, according to very recent rumors, there seems to be not only one but two Palm handsets that will probably run webOS 2.0 at some point in the near future. The two devices are apparently codenamed P102UNA and P102EWW and they will come with a new Touchstone battery charger model too.
We don’t have any actual details about these two devices when it comes to specs and features or release dates and prices. However we do expect the P102UNA and P102EWW to mean more for the mobile universe than the Pre Puls and the Pixi Plus did. You must remember them, they are the first handsets Palm released after the unsuccessful Palm Pre and Pixi.
We were very excited about the Pre and it was seen by so many as the first iPhone-killer. But for some reason, let’s call it bad marketing, the phone never took off and Sprint wasn’t able to sell millions of Pres and it was pretty clear that the new Palm invention wasn’t going to kill any of its direct competitors. In the mean time Android has position itself in a great iOS-killer position, so our expectations of these future webOS 2.0 will grow even more. Should Palm fail to grab the attention of consumers one more time then the company might not have another chance to convince us they still know how to make smartphones.
