Nintendo 3DS Release Date November 11th? [German Newspaper Pins Nintendo's Next Handheld As Coming In Two Months Time]
The release date and pricing for the Nintendo 3DS has been the matter of some speculation, specially since Nintendo has been coy about both, with the big N only going on record as saying the handheld would be released before March 2011. Now, with the official word coming close, a German tabloid says that 3D handheld is coming in just a few weeks – November 11th.

Popular German tabloid Bild is reporting the November 11th date. They’re also claiming that the 3DS remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a Professor Layton game and Mario Cart 3DS will be launch titles for the new console.
Regular TFTS readers may know that a few weeks ago, a Japanese contractor who once did work for Nintendo also claimed that the handheld was coming sometime in November, but both Nintendo and the company that he contractor worked for said that he was not telling the truth.
Bild also went on to say that the 3DS’ launch price (in Europe) will be €200 ($270). While it’s a lot higher than the prices of the current DS models, it’s worth nothing that a lot of developers are getting excited over the hardware capabilities of the 3DS. It looks to be a hardware powerhouse.
For those who aren’t interested in just rumors and heresay (specially from Germans), Nintendo is set to officially announce the pricing and release date for the Nintendo 3DS this Wednesday, Stepember 29th from Tokyo. TFTS will cover the news and provide instant analysis of whatever’s announced. Keep us bookmarked!
