Avaya Brings Out New Tablet For The Office
It’s always a little strange to hear about a tablet PC that isn’t gunning for the iPad, but that’s exactly what we’re going after with the Avaya A175, with the Flare Experience.
The Avaya A175 is an 11.5 inch tablet that runs on Android and puts out a whole lot of features like a touch interface that checks messages, schedules meetings, allows for voice and video calling, which can be expanded to conferencing, and also allows for “side conversations”, where you can directly contact one user by voice, email or instant message without breaking the original call, access to a wide listing of contacts that shows availability and preferred method of contact and the full Android slate.
The tablet itself, meanwhile, boasts three USB ports, WiFi, 3G, and 4G support and an integrated battery, plus a price tag that’ll weigh in at somewhere between $1500 and $2000 dollars, which means you probably won’t be seeing these at the office any time soon unless someone gets laid off first.
