Nintendo to Release Wii Controller With Motion Plus Built-in? [Wii Remote Plus Gets Outed, Appears to Be Wii Controller With Built-in Motion Plus]
The video gaming industry is surely a huge one with billions of dollars of revenue and legions of loyal customers. However, one technology within the home console gaming market has been generating quite a deal of buzz as of late. If you don’t know what I’m talking about just head down to your local GameStop and check out all of the advertisements for Sony’s PlayStation Move and you will quickly understand.

Introduced with the Nintendo Wii, motion controlled games have garnered quite a bit of interest as of late. In fact, motion control gaming has gained such interest that both Sony and Microsoft have come forth to introduce their own competitors. Sony has the above mentioned PlayStation Move and Microsoft has the Xbox 360 Kinect.
While both of these new motion controllers feature obviously different set ups they both share 1:1 realtime tracking. This is a feature both competitors have over the Wii as Nintendo did not ship the console with such a thing.
Unfortunately, to get down on the Wii’s 1:1 realtime tracking, consumers are forced to buy an addition peripheral dubbed the Wii Motion Plus. This add-on attaches to the bottom of the Wii’s controller and adds unpleasant bulk to the remote. Ever since the product’s release, people have wondered when (if ever) Nintendo would release a controller with the technology built-in.
Nothing official has been said but today pictures of a controller dubbed the Wii Remote Plus have surfaced bundled with a game called FlingSmash. Like I said, it’s not officially confirmed as to what exactly this new product is but our best guess tells us that it is in fact a Nintendo Wii controller with built-in MotionPlus technology.
No telling when exactly this new Wii Remote Plus will hit the streets but when it does, if it gains positive reception you can expect Nintendo to begin phasing out the old technology in favor of the new.
