HTC Mondrian Appears in AT&T Advertisements Running Windows Phone 7 [Unofficially Confirmed HTC Mondrian Appears in AT&T Advertisements]

Microsoft doesn’t exactly have the cleanest track record when it comes to mobile operating systems. This can be made evident by their most recent attempt with Windows Mobile. While it certainly wasn’t the worst mobile OS to make the rounds, users have run into their fair share of headaches when using it.

Microsoft is looking to change all of that and redeem themselves with the forthcoming launch of Windows Phone 7. This mobile operating system is built from the ground up with touch input in mind and features integration with popular Microsoft services such as Xbox Live.

While we’ve seen several phones get leaked and even announced that will run Windows Phone 7, the platform has yet to make its way to market. Luckily, in the past it’s been said that Microsoft will launch Windows Phone 7 in October, which is next month, so we won’t have to wait too long to check it out.

However, leading up to Windows Phone 7′s launch several devices are expected to get announced and inevitably leaked. One such device is known as the HTC HD3/HD7. While there has been virtually no official confirmation to its existence, it’s generally assumed that it will be the follow up to the highly popular Windows Mobile 6.5 powered HTC HD2.

Alternatively, the HTC Mondrian has been spoken of in the past leading many to believe that it is the device that will be the HD2′s spiritual successor. This device is said to feature a 4.3-inch touchcreen with a 400 x 800 resolution, a blinding fast 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi and an FM radio.

Seeing how everything we know has come from leaks it’s obvious that HTC has yet to make an official announcement. However, today, a reportedly unfinished AT&T ad campaign has leaked onto the web featuring none other than the HTC Mondrian.

You can check out both videos below which all but officially confirm the HTC Mondrian’s existence and the fact that it will be one of the first Windows Phone 7 powered devices to hit the market.
