Refurbished iPads Being Sold At Apple.com
iPads (and other Apple gear) is expensive, so we don’t blame you for trying to save a few bucks. If you don’t mind using a refurbished device, Apple is now selling refurbished “Apple certified” iPads on their main site via the Special Offers page.

The prices on the refurbished iPads vary, though they’re all $50 cheaper across the board and they’re all the WiFi-only models. The 16GB model comes in at $450, the 32GB model is $550 and the 64GB model is $650. As with all “Apple Certified” products, Apple tests them to make sure they work, they’ve got a 1-year warranty, and they’ve also been given a new battery and outer shell.
Apple.com warns shoppers that “supply is limited” and you may want to act now, but I’ve got to imagine that there are always going to be enough people returning old iPads to Apple (for whatever reason) so I think there will be a healthy supply of refurb units waiting for you.
It’s not half-off or anything, but it’s still a bit cheaper.
