Verizon 4G Has A New Website
Verizon will soon be joining Sprint as the second major carrier with a fourth-generation mobile data network. Verizon is rocking the LTE network and according to creditable rumors, they should be opening the 4G network to public around October 15th. Unsurprisingly, Big Red has now opened up a special promo page promoting their upcoming 4G LTE network.

There isn’t much there right now. The page describes Verizon’s 4G as “Limitless. Powerful. Revolutionary.” And in Verizon’s typical “Rule The Air” current ad campaign, it describes 4G as “It’s your signal…at full-tilt.” But this is my favorite bit of this Verizon ad copy:
3G Pushed The Boundaries. With Verizon’s 4G, There Are None.
Ironically, that seemingly meaningless comment may have some accuracy. Public statements from Verizon indicate that their 4G network will surpass the coverage of their 3G network by 2012, if all goes to plan. So 4G is literally surpassing the boundaries of 3G.
Other than those great lines, there isn’t much there. Verizon is offering a spot to put your e-mail address if you’d like to be put on their listserv and kept informed about their 4G network.
For those excited about Verizon 4G, unfortunately, Verizon executives have said we won’t see any 4G phones until 2011 from the big carrier. We’ll only see mobile bandwidth cards using 4G LTE for the rest of the year.
Are you excited about Verizon 4G? Will it help you “Rule The Air”? Tell us what you think in the comments section.
