Sayno Vero By Kyocera Flip Phone Now Available With Sprint, Priced On Contract At $9.99
Those looking for a low priced flip style phone are in luck as Sprint has recently rolled out just such a model. The handset is the Sanyo Vero by Kyocera and is available as of today.

The Sanyo Vero is a flip phone and is described as having a “back-to-basics” style and functionality. And after looking at the images and checking out the specs I cannot say I agree more. Though, having a basic feature set and basic style is sometimes a good thing. I know I have said this before, however I sometimes long for the days of simple phones. But before I digress any further, lets get back to the task at hand — the Sanyo Vero.
The handset is priced at a low $9.99. Of course that comes with the standard two-year agreement. And in addition, there is also a $50 mail in rebate which means you will need to shell out a bit more on the actual day of purchase.
As for the features. The Sanyo Vero offers a 2.4 inch internal QVGA display, 1.3 inch glow-thru OLED external display, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, is web browsing capable and has an 840 mAh battery that should provide up to 5.2 hours of talk time. As for size, the phone measures in at 3.5 x 2.9 x 0.6 inches and weighs in at 3.8 ounces.
Other goodies include having built-in Google Search, a speakerphone, a 2.5mm headphone jack and the ability to “choose from 36 built-in ring tones.” And jest aside, the Vero is also has parental controls and is Sprint Family Locator capable. The Vero also has support for email, text messaging and comes complete with a large keyboard and large menus for “additional ease of use.” Lastly, as for the phone itself, the exterior is described as being a “grippable” soft-black finish.
All things considered, for someone who only wants a phone to talk and get the occasional message, for $9.99 the Vero seems like a viable option.
