Mitsubishi Debuts HC-4000 Projector
Mitsubishi has done some truly amazing things in the home theater market, and as a home theater buff myself, it’s always gratifying to see them come out with new product. Thus, it’s a real treat to introduce the HC-4000 from Mitsubishi.
The HC-4000 from Mitsubishi will be running the DarkChip 3, the newest 1080p DLP chip from Texas Instruments. It’ll put out an eye-searing 1300 lumens for up to 5000 hours (or, roughly, 208 days of non-stop operation), and show your widescreen 2.35:1 films without incident thanks to anamorphic lens support. It’ll also provide low noise (25dBA, specifically), two HDMI inputs, RS232 support, digital keystone correction, and a 1.5x zoom ratio lens.
Mindblowing quality, make no mistake there, and you’ll be able to get your hands on one of these if you’re willing to drop $1,495 when it hits the market, which some reports suggest has actually happened, though I can’t actually find it anywhere.
