Boomcase Brings Speakers Together With Old Suitcases
We all like to be able to take our music with us wherever we go. Sure we do–that’s the whole reason for the MP3 player in the first place, isn’t it? But letting other people hear that music can be a challenge, and the Boomcase is rising up to meet that challenge head on and in not one uncertain term.
The Boomcase (just one of a series of which is pictured above), comes our way from Mr. SiMo out in San Francisco, and it’s basically what it looks like–a suitcase full of speaker. This particular model comes with speakers and a tweeter stuffed into an old Samsonite suitcase, for eight pounds of weight that puts out 30 watts of sound for ten hours. You plug your portable device of choice into it via the headphone jack.
And if the thought of carrying speakers with you is too good to resist, prepare to shell out $295 for one of these. An extra $20, however, gets you a USB charger for the Boomcase.
They’re available right now via Mr. SiMo, and you’ll be able to cart your music just about anywhere.
