BlackBerry 9670 Style Coming from Telus & Bell in Early November?
We’ve seen the BlackBerry 9670 Style in various demo videos last week and now we hear that RIM is almost ready to launch this new BlackBerry handset, at least in Canada.

The BlackBerry 9670 Style is RIM’s first, and hopefully only, clamshell smartphone that tries to combine a large display and a regular QWERTY keyboard. The phone has been spotted in various leaks and rumors this year but we’re still waiting for the official press release to arrive.
We’ve seen the BlackBerry Torch 9800 get launched in August, and the phone, a lot more interesting than the Style, failed to really impress the public. Can the Style do any better than that?
RIM will definitely launch the Style and the word on the street is that the Canadians will get it at the beginning of November. So far Telus and Bell are rumored to get the Style at the beginning of November although there are no actual release dates and pricing details so far.
The Style is apparently coming only in a CDMA flavor so far which means Rogers will have to wait for a GSM version of the Style before making any plans of selling it. We’ll definitely be interested to see what BlackBerry handset will become more successful in Canada in the following months: the Torch, the new Bold 9780 or the Style.
And in case you’re thinking of purchasing the Style then here’s what you can expect from the phone: two non-touch displays, one internal and one external, 3G EV-Do support, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 512MB of memory, 4GB of on-board storage memory, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, microUSB port, microSD slot and, most importantly, BlackBerry 6 running in the background. These specs and features are not confirmed yet so sit tight for the officially official announcement in the near future.
So, would you buy this clamshell device, or are you looking for some other BlackBerry smartphone instead?
