Samsung GT-i8700 Windows Phone 7 Smartphone Gets Leaked, Impresses With Looks
As you already know, Microsoft is going to launch Windows Phone 7 on October 11 and we expect the first weeks of October to be filled with WP7 announcements. HTC, Samsung, LG, Dell and Asus all have various WP7 smartphones scheduled to arrive later this year and today we have images of one of those future phones.

The Samsung GT-i8700 is one such Windows Phone 7 device and from what we see in the images here, the phone looks pretty interesting. The GT-i8700 doesn’t have a codename just yet, but it looks a lot better than the previous Samsung WP7 smartphone, the demo unit, that has been available to developers for a while now.
From what we know so far, looking at the images below, it looks like the GT-i8700 smartphone will offer you a 3.7- to 4-inch touchscreen display, 8GB of storage memory, camera with LED flash and the usual three Windows Phone 7 buttons required for the phone to work.
Unfortunately we don’t have any official details about the GT-i8700 smartphone yet and there’s no telling when Samsung will announce the device. But considering all the other Windows Phone 7 devices we’ve seen unofficially this year, this handset seems to be the most interesting leak so far. The GT-i8700 might become a successful Galaxy S-like flagship device in the following months, and together with the HTC HD3 rumored the other day, the GT-i8700 might be the best WP7 choice one could make by Christmas 2010.
These are all speculations so far but these leaks don’t just happen like that, and this device wasn’t lost in a bar. Samsung probably wants the general public to be aware of the GT-i8700, otherwise the phone wouldn’t have hit the web starring in such non-blurry images.
Are you going to buy a Windows Phone 7 smartphone anytime soon?

This is the best-looking WP7 yet… although I also like the looks of the HD3. I definitely plan to trade in my Blackberry, so I’m hoping one of these models shows up at AT&T.
