Nikon Releases Cheap Point and Shoot Coolpix S8100 Camera
Nikon unveils a new batch of cameras today which includes the Coolpix S8100, a new point-and-shoot camera which can be yours for only $300.
The Nikon Coolpix S8100 camera is the cheapest of the new batch of cameras unveiled today boasting of 12.1 megapixels and the ability to record 1080p HD videos.
The camera has some tricks as well. It can capture five shots in a row at 10fps which may be a bit limited.
However, it remains to be seen if this five successive shot selection can be tweaked a bit if the resolution should be lowered. The S8100 can also capture slow motion video at 120 fps.
Other features of the S8100 include a 10MP zoom, a 3″ high resolution LCD screen (640×480) and can accommodate up to ISO 3200 and stabilization meaning users will not have to rely on the flash of the camera that much.
Again, at $300, this camera brings a sane value to consumers seeking a luxury-style camera. It is set to be available by the end of the month.
