iLife '11 Up On Amazon
It has been speculated that we’d see the next edition of Apple’s iLife suite all summer, but that (obviously) hasn’t come true and there haven’t been a great deal of rumors pointing towards such a thing (contrast with say – the CDMA iPhone). But now the folks at Amazon.com have now posted an early listing for the iLife ’11 Family Pack, which leads to speculation that it’ll be close.

The last edition of iLife was the ’09 variant which was announced at the MacWorld show in January, 09 (remember when Apple was at MacWorld?). So it’s possible that we could see the suite unveiled in January of next year. But, Apple has released iLife a year before the “numbered year” in the title. So we could see iLife come out late this year, despite the 2011 moniker.
The listing for iLife ’11 is nothing special. Amazon quickly pulled it but it was listing the family pack for $99 (sounds about right, we guess. iLife usually sells for $79) and it was said to be shipping in two to four weeks.
As other sites have pointed out, there have been a few “iLife ’11″ books out, but these are believed to just be either speculation by the authors, or (as is the case with the Windows Secrets books written by Paul Thurrott) written with cooperation with Apple under complete secrecy.
Regardless, it would seem that iLife ’11 is coming, and sometime soon. Amazon.com and their automated listings don’t lie.
