Sleek Audio SA7 Earphones Emerge At TFA Show
Any time someone’s willing to pull out the word “stonking” in a review I have to sit up and take notice. I’ve only heard the term used once thanks to Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw out on Zero Punctuation, and maybe it’s because I’m American, but that’s not a word I hear often. Today, it’s been used to refer to the Sleek Audio SA7 earbuds out at the IFA show, and apparently, “stonking” means “really impressive”.
The early word says that these earbuds do a great job of replicating sound even in the middle of crowded convention halls, and frankly, I’d say that really is the best judge of audio hardware. Sure, anything can sound great when you’re in a clean room with no acoustics, but how good is a set of earbuds that will let you hear your audiobook while walking in traffic?
And yes, that’s been a problem for me on more than one occasion.
Considering, however, that these earbuds will set you back a whopping $400, well, they’d better be good, in all honesty. Earbuds that cost more than an iPod are a scary, scary concept.
