Sony Walkman NWZ-S574 Appears At IFA
Sony’s Walkman sure has come a long way since the old days as a combination cassette player and FM radio, and a new one, the Sony NWZ-S574, has just hit at the IFA show out in Germany.
Here’s the thing, though–this is really early-stage news, so most of it’s just conjecture and educated guesses, but what we’re looking at here is a personal media player with eight gigs of storage space. There will likely be other models available with expanded space, but the models on display out at IFA were running eight gigs. Some believe that there’s a possibility that OLED displays will be involved, which is a possibility given that Sony’s earlier Walkman models were equipped with these also. But that was likely before the recent announcements in AMOLED shortages (it killed the HTC Legend, after all) so there’s at least some chance they may go a different route to reflect the availability issues.
Naturally, of course, there’ll be lots more news coming out on the NWZ-S574 in the coming days, so keep it right here and we’ll bring it to you.
