Colorware Now Doing BlackBerry 9800 Torches
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 may not be as selling as well as the folks at RIM wanted, but that hasn’t stopped the miracle workers at Colorware from opening up their doors for Torch makeovers. The Minnesota-based company is now accepting BlackBerry 9800s for their recoloring process.

Colorware says in their press release that the BlackBerry Torch “has everything you’ve been hoping for in a smartphone”. Well, that’s nice copy but judging by the estimates of the Torch’s sales numbers, it really isn’t true, is it? Oh well. Colorware encourages customers to customize their Torch to fit their “on-the-go lifestyle” and suggested customers are “subtle” or maybe “one that will stand out” (like ours above).
If you’re not familiar with Colorware (and many of you likely are), you either can opt to send them yours or buy one from them. Buying one from them in this case is actually fairly outrageous since you’re basically buying an unlocked phone and it will cost you $1,050. Sending one in is a much more reasonable $250. Buying direct from Colorware actually isn’t a bad option in most cases, but not when phone contracts and subsidies are involved.
Have you ever gotten anything from Colorware? Are you going to send in your BlackBerry Torch 9800? Tell us about it in the comments.
