BenQ Unveils nReader R100

BenQ Announces Its Own Android Tablet with the BenQ nReader R100 Tablet

BenQ tries to move into the tablet scene with the release of their own Android-powered tablet, the BenQ nReader R100. Though known for distributing monitors, dipping their hands into the tablet scene somehow offers a minimal adjustment considering tablets is just as powerful as a monitor.

The BenQ nReader R100 features a 667MHz Samsung ARM-based processor and can also run using the Android 2.2 Froyo.

However, there is no official word if the actual nReader R100 from BenQ would be shipping with the Android 2.2 installed.

Regardless, other features that should be notable about the said tablet include a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 pixel resistive touch screen display, HDMI output, a battery which is good for up to 12 hours of useful life, Wi-Fi and 3G.

Not a bad cast of features from a brand new player in the tablet market although pricing and availability would have helped determine if it was indeed worth it.
