Rumor: Droid 2 Has Lowest Return Rate Of Any Verizon Phone

Insider Reports That Droid 2 Has Fewest Returns, Verizon Customers Really Enjoying The Droid 2?

In our review of the Motorola Droid 2, I found that it was a fundamentally solid phone, and apparently folks agree with me. While the phone may be selling less-than-amazingly (not sold out online, average number of customer reviews), those who do buy it may be satisfied by it since it’s being reported by an inside source that the phone has the lowest return rate of any Verizon smartphone.

This comes by way of Boy Genius Reports, who cites one of their top secret internal Verizon sources. As mentioned, they’re saying that the Droid 2 has the lowest return rate of any Verizon smartphone. Not a bad achievement for any phone – and while we believe that the Droid 2 isn’t selling as well as the first Droid or the Droid X, it seems like those who do pick up the phone are enjoying it and not having any problems with the phone.

Remember that the early reports that the Droid 2 suffered from Apple-esque antenna issues and that it dropped calls? Not only does the lowest return rate thing apparently debuff that, but BGR’s source tells them that the Droid 2 has the lowest rate of dropped calls on the whole network, not just smartphones. Not bad, eh? Of course, a lot of that depends on where people are using them but it seems like the early stories about the Droid 2 were greatly exaggerated.
