BlackBerry Torch Coming to Rogers, Telus & Bell on September 24
If you ask me it’s really a shame that RIM’s latest BlackBerry handset is heading to Canada only after it has been made available in the USA, but then again, RIM can go about its business as it sees fit in order to increase revenues.

The latest RIM creation is of course the Palm Pre-like BlackBerry Torch 9800, a slider that combines both a full touchscreen display with a regular BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard and is the first RIM device to run the all new, touch-friendly, but not only, BlackBerry OS 6.0.
The phone has a strange shape for a BlackBerry, but it’s definitely a lot more pleasant for the eye when compared to the future clamshell BlackBerry phone scheduled to arrive at some point in the near future.
Available since August 12 from AT&T, the Torch failed to impress the public as the device wasn’t sold out at any point since launch but maybe Canadian customers will appreciate it more starting with September 24.
That’s when Rogers, Telus and Bell will all start selling the BlackBerry Torch 9800, so you have plenty of time to decide whether it’s time to change carriers or stick with your favorite mobile operator when purchasing the Torch.
The Torch will be available for $199.99 with mandatory 3-year contracts although you will probably be able to sign shorter contracts with some of these three carriers even if that means paying more for the phone itself.
We have shown you the BlackBerry Torch in great detail so far but here are some of its main specs and features, that should help you decide whether or not to purchase it: 3.2-inch touschreen display, full, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad, 5-megapixel camera with video recording, 8GB of memory space and BlackBerry OS 6.
So, what Canadian carrier will you choose for your BlackBerry Torch 9800?
