Sony Looks To Offer Expanded Xplod Units
It’s been a huge day for Sony news, and the IFA show has been funnelling out bits hot and fast. Right now we’ve got word on Sony’s plans for expanded Xplod offerings that pack a load of new features into the car units.
They’ll be starting up in the European market, so they’ll likely take a while to expand outward. And I hope they make it quick, because drivers most everywhere are going to want these.
First, they’re backed up by integrated TomTom GPS systems (and my personal favorite so far is a TomTom), and also boast auxiliary jacks, USB jacks, DivX playback, a DVD drive, a Google-powered local search function, a panoply of traffic and weather alert systems, and just to top it off, a music recommendation system that makes suggestions based on your current mood.
We don’t know shipping or pricing data just yet, but we do know that these will be in Europe in November, and there will be several models, so the features listed above may not be in all of them.
