Samsung Fascinate Video Ad Released, Fascinate Units Already in Verizon’s Inventory?
Now that the Samsung Epic 4G, Sprint’s own Samsung Galaxy S version, has been launched, Verizon is the only carrier of the Big Four not to sell a Galaxy S Android smartphone. The Fascinate is coming though, and we’re probably going to see it in stores in the following days.

Just like with the previous models, the Captivate, the Vibrant and the Epic 4G, we now have a video ad for the Fascinate. And unlike the last commercial starring the Epic 4G that didn’t particularly impress us, the Fascinate’s ad is a little better.
Samsung is still insisting on the handset as a device ready to bring you lots of entertainment on the go, but, for a change, the movie shown on the Fascinate in the video above is not necessarily a SciFi show. Maybe Samsung is trying to stay clear of the Verizon’s Droid commercials, as the Fascinate isn’t part of the Droid family, while also trying to stand out of a tough crowd. Verizon has plenty of Android smartphones in its inventory and choosing between the Droid 2, the Droid X, the Droid Incredible and the Fascinate will not be an easy task.
While Samsung U.S. is ready to roll the new Fascinate commercials, Verizon is getting ready for the actual release day. The phone will be available in stores on either September 8 or 9, and you can already pre-order it from Best Buy. And according to leaks, Verizon has already started to receive Fascinate launch kits, which only confirms the rumors that said the phone is coming in early September. Verizon didn’t officially announce the device yet and it hasn’t included it in the pre-paid smartphone offer we’ve seen earlier today.
Have any of our readers been waiting for the Galaxy S to come to Verizon? Will you get the Fascinate next week, provided it’s going to be launched on September 8 or 9?

I have already preordered the Fascinate at Best Buy. I don’t love the Droid 2 (my 17yo son has an original Droid) and while Verizon theoretically offers Incredibles and Droid X they are not available in stores and X is backordered for 2-3 weeks. I just want to get my hands on an Android phone. That said I am hopeful that 4.0 inch screen will be a really nice compromise between 3.7 and the Inc.’s 4.3, which for some is too big to comfortably hold as a phone. My current phone died, thus I am phoneless and looking forward to my first Smartphone.
