Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Officially Announced–Shipping This December [The Official Word On the Long-Rumored Arc Touch Mouse Has Landed]
We’ve been talking a lot here about the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse–there have been rumors enough here for three–but the official word has finally come down from Microsoft, and they’re shipping this December.
Just in time for Christmas shopping–or at least post-Christmas gift card shopping–the uniquely styled mouse offers not only an unusual shape, but also a couple of capacitive touch strips for scrolling and customization. This is, ironically, similar to an earlier (not to mention already available) release from Mad Catz, the Mad Catz Eclipse. Why they’re not getting these in stores in November or even October to take advantage of actual Christmas shopping is unclear, though.
They’re set to cost $69.95 each, and while they won’t be in stores until December, they are taking pre-orders on these already so you can at least be assured of getting one when they finally do hit. Unless, of course, you already bought the remarkably similar one out at Mad Catz.
