iPod Classic Not Going Anywhere Just Yet
It’s common knowledge that one of the greatest forms of entertainment is listening to music. It’s been around forever and it’s a great way to relax, get pumped up and experience a whole plethora of other emotions. Once upon a time the only way to listen to music was by phyiscally purchasing the content but thsoe days are long gone.

Today, services like Apple’s iTunes offer many songs for 99 cents that can be downloaded digitally and stored pretty much wherever a consumer wishes. Add iTunes to other similar and of course piracy and you have some consumers amassing several hundreds of gigabytes worth of music. If such a consumer were to take all of this music on the go they can meticulously burn it all to mass amounts of CDs or they can just opt for the easy route and buy an MP3 player.
One of the most successful line ups of MP3 players is none other than Apple’s iPod. In fact today, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that Apple completely refreshed almost their entire line up. The new iPod Nano features a full touchscreen form factor, the new iPod Shuffle features revamped hardware buttons and a sleek design complete with Voice Over controls and the new iPod touch features front and rear facing cameras, Apple’s Retina Display and the A4 processor.
While this may seem like their entire line up they left out one key player; the iPod Classic. For a consumer with a large amount of music, the iPod Classic is most likely their best bet from Apple’s arsenal as it features up to 160GB of space. Many believed that Apple would unveil a new iPod Classic with even more space alongside everything else today but if you were to believe such a thing you would be wrong as they made no mention of the iconic media player.
This neglect led had many speculating that Apple had killed off the iPod Classic and would instead focus on their other devices. Luckily, it has been independently confirmed today with Apple that the iPod Classic is alive and well and will not be discounted, yet, anyways. However, without a refresh its only seemingly a matter of time until the iPod Classic goes the way of the Newton.
