Canon XF105 and XF100 Camcorders Debut
Canon unveils a couple of professional and compact camcorders with the release of the Canon XF105 and Canon XF100 professional camcorders. The new Canon camcorders are ideal for mobile HD video capture and boast of MPEG-2 4:2:2 50 mbps recording.
The new pocket camcorders also come with infrared and stereoscopic 3D shooting capabilities, a DIGIC DV III Image Processor and a Full HD CMOS sensor (1920×1080 resolution) video.
What makes the two camcorders differing is their support for HD-SDI output. Only the Canon XF105 has it while the XF100 doesn’t.
Both camcorders have also been equipped with the ability to record at multiple bit rates, resolutions and variable frames rates for slow and fast motion.
They also come with dual XLR inputs for external audio sources and also a built-in stereo microphone for some audio flexibility options.
They also support 16-bit PCM audio at 48 kHz with automatic and manual audio level adjustment.
The two new Canon professional camcorders are set to be available come the first quarter of 2011.
