BeamAtic Headlights Look To Improve High Beams in Japan

BeamAtic Will Block Headlights From Shining On Other Cars

This is quite possibly one of the best things ever and I can’t wait for them to hit America. Japanese automakers are looking to install BeamAtic premium headlights as an option on some cars, and it’s an idea that might save some lives.

See, if you’re like me and you live in the middle of nowhere, you know it’s a good idea to drive at night with your high beams on to give you extra warning should a deer decide to make a suicide lunge in front of you and take your car with him.

But as you know, other cars have to use those roads too, so that doesn’t always make high beams a possibility, until now. The BeamAtic headlights are designed so that they can shut down the specific part of the headlight that would come in contact with another car, thus making that part of the road dark whilst the rest of the road is lit up as much as the lights can make it, as you can see in the illustration above.

What all this means is you’ll be able to use your high beams and keep an eye out for deer while never once blinding another driver. And that, as far as I’m concerned, is terrific news.
