SanDisk Officially Announces The Sansa Fuze+ MP3 Player

Sansa Fuse+ MP3 Player Gets Official, Features 4, 8 & 16GB Storage Capacities With slotRadio & microSD Card Support

The once rumored Sansa Fuze+ MP3 player has been officially announced. Coming by way of official press release, SanDisk unveiled the slotRadio capable MP3 player, which is available as of today.

In terms of features, the Sansa Fuze+ will come sporting a 2.4 inch QVGA display with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, digital FM tuner, microUSB 2.0 port, microSD card slot and a “sleek industrial design with invisible capacitive touch control and highly graphical user interface.” Fancy, that last part I mean.

Otherwise, the battery is said to be good for up to 24 hours of audio playback and up to 5 hours of video playback. As for file format support, expect to find the usual array plus a few extras including MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC and Audible with video support coming in the form of MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and Flip Video.

Moving into storage, the Sansa Fuze+ comes with either 4GB, 8GB or 16GB storage capacities and has a microSD card slot for up to an additional 32GB of storage. Plus, just in case this is your kind of thing, the Sansa Fuze+ also has slotRadio card support. And for those into the subscription music way of life, the Sansa Fuze+ is compatible with Rhapsody and Napster.

Lastly, in terms of pricing and available colors. The Fuze+ comes in either purple, red, white, blue or black and is priced at $79, $89 and $119. Of course, the catch with the colors is that certain colors are only available in certain storage capacities. The red is only 4GB, the purple and white are only 8GB, the blue is available in 4GB or 8GB and the black is available in all three storage capacities.

With that, we have what appears to be both a decent and low priced MP3 player. Take that and combine it with a Rhapsody subscription and you have quite a bit of music to carry around.
