LG E900 Windows Phone 7 Smartphone Leaks; 1.3 Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor Rumored

LG E900 WP7 Handsets Gets Leaked Again; This Time With Specs, Features & Video

We’re still at least a month away until the first Windows Phone 7 handsets become official in Europe so that means we’re probably going to see more and more leaks in the following days. The LG E900 is such a smartphone that got leaked today and we have various details about it as well as a short video showing it in action.

The LG E900 seems to be a Chassis 1 Windows Phone 7 device, with a generous 3.7-inch LCD touchscreen display and the three mandatory WP7 buttons visible from the start. Other specs and features include light and proximity sensor, a miniUSB or microUSB slot and a 3.5mm headset jack. We can also assume the device offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G support but it’s the processing power that we’re more interested in as the E900 is rumored to offer a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor capable of clocking at 1.3GHz. That’s an impressive milestone for any smartphone, let alone a Windows Phone 7 device but it’s just a rumor so no point getting too excited about it.

LG seems to be a lot more confident in the new mobile platform from Microsoft than it is in Android. LG has missed the chance to make an impression in the Android world, although it does plan to launch various Android smartphones in the Optimus line in the near future. But it looks as if Windows Phone 7 smartphones is what’s really going to drive up sales for LG in the following months.

The short videos here show the LG E900 in action, although there aren’t that many things worth noticing at this point. The WP7 UI is just what we’re expecting it to be and the device is pretty responsive as the user moves through various screens. It will be interesting to see whether LG is indeed going to be one of the first manufacturers to include a next-gen processor in its WP7 line, but I guess we’ll have to wait for the official press release to confirm that.

So let us hear it from Windows Mobile fans out there. Does the LG E900 look like the smartphone you’d want to buy in the near future?

Sure I would buy one especially if the price is $350 as rumored. I am really excited to get my hands on one. I am planning to start developing some apps for it as soon as I can get the hardware.
