iPads Now Shipping, Again [Apple.com Restocks iPads, Now Shipping Within 24 Hours, iPad-Hungry Customers No Longer Waiting]
A few days ago, Wall Street analysts that monitor industry supply chains out East predicted that iPad supply would soon meet iPad demand in the United States. Well, that’s turned out to be true. Apple.com is now showing all six variants of the iPad as ready to ship within 24 hours.

Allegedly this applies to both US and Canadian Apple.com sites. The wait time for the iPad has varied ever since the device was released, and got as high as a 10 day wait for a considerable amount of time. But, again, citing the analyst reports, supply has reached demand.
Of course there is a much more nefarious theory as to why the iPad may now be shipping within 24 hours to customers. Windows-centric journalist Paul Thurrott suggested on his Windows Weekly podcast that since Apple isn’t touting the sales number of the iPad anymore -demand for the device may have subsided a bit. That seems likely to us, too.
Those same analyst reports that we cited said that after Apple’s production lines can fulfill iPad demand, they’d turn their attention to the iPhone. I don’t know if it works like that (I don’t think somebody is flipping the switch from “iPAD” to “iPHONE”) but as the iPhone 4 currently has a 3 week wait for shipping on the Apple.com webstore, it certainly seems like it would be welcomed.
Anybody thinking about picking up an iPad now that they’re back in stock?
