FirmTek Announces External SATA Hard Drive Storage Solution for PCs and MACs

FirmTek has announced that the SeriTek/e6G 2-Port eSATA 6G host adapter is now shipping. This new hard drive storage solution is compatible with the PC and the MAC, designed to expand the external storage options for various machines under both genres.

The SeriTek/e6G 2-Port eSATA 6G host adapter can provide 255MB/s average read performances with a single OWC Mercury Extreme Pro RE Solid State Drive.

For maximum storage capacity customers can connect up to ten hard disks and can also be used without installing a driver for the Mac OS X 10.5.x or 10.6.x systems.

Customers can also take advantage of advanced features which include port multiplication with SMART application support, optimized enclosure performance, hot plug support for Oxford 936 based enclosures and Mac OS X 10.4.11 compatibility.

They are ideal for audio/video editing, photography, large media content libraries, storage expansion, backup and any application where external, hot swap, data storage is desirable.

They are now available and retail for $99.99.
