Sprint Samsung Epic 4G Starts Selling Tomorrow; As Early as 8 AM
A new Samsung Galaxy S version is going to be available in the USA starting tomorrow, August 31. I’m talking about the Epic 4G, the uncrowned king of the Galaxy S family. The device is going to be available in Sprint stores from early morning, as Sprint will have its stores open as early as 8AM.

Obviously Sprint has high expectations for the Epic 4G and hopes to sell this second WiMAX-ready Android smartphone very well. The Galaxy S is already a popular device with the U.S. consumers so the Epic 4G might indeed be a hit phone for Sprint.
Sprint will charge $249.99 for the Epic 4G when bundled with a new two-year contract. Of course you could always skip Sprint stores and get the device from Amazon since you’ll save $50 in the process. The deal is still on and implies a new two-year agreement with Sprint, and the price with Amazon, $199.99, is exactly what T-Mobile and AT&T are asking for the Vibrant and the Captivate.
Of course if the Epic 4G is not your favorite Android device in Sprint’s lineup then we’ll remind you the EVO 4G is also available for sale from Sprint’s online store, although there are only limited quantities available for sale.
Getting back to the Epic 4G, this Galaxy S version is definitely worth investing into. The phone will offer a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, this making it the first 4G handset with a physical keyboard, WiMAX support, but only limited to certain Sprint markets, and a front-facing camera ready for video calls, just like the EVO 4G. Everything else is exactly the same with other Galaxy S versions. The phone only comes with Android 2.1 on board for now but Android 2.2 Froyo seems to be just around the corner considering that the European Galaxy S has already been unofficially updated to Froyo.
So let’s hear it from you, folks! Have you pre-ordered your Epic 4G yet?
