Samsung Wave 723 GT-S7320E Smartphone Announced For Germany
The latest in terms of Bada OS powered smartphones has officially been announced. The handset is the Wave 723, which is sporting the model number of GT-7320E. And yes, the handset is the 723 with a model number of 7320E. In other words, while those 732 and 723 bits may be confusing they are not typos. And similar to the other Bada smartphones that we have seen thus far, the Wave 723 is also heading to Germany.

As for what day and how much. The what day was left as a more general timeframe of September. But we do know that the Samsung Wave 723 will be priced at 240 euros (just over $300 US). With that out of the way, lets get into the specs, beginning with the unique looking design. The back (and sides) of the handset have a rather nice looking brushed metallic design. So far so good, but. Yes, there is a but — the front of the phone is covered by a leather flap which is connected at the bottom and flips down. Of course, while I may not be a fan of the leather flap, I am sure there is someone who thinks it is the next best thing.

Onward to the hardware specs. The Samsung Wave 723 comes touting a 3.2 inch WQVGA TFT-LCD display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, 90MB internal storage and a microSD card slot. As mentioned earlier in the post, the Wave 723 has Samsung’s Bada OS and in addition you will also find the TouchWiz user interface as well as a few other Samsung goodies including Social Hub.
Lastly, as of now the handset is heading to Germany and then later will show up in other areas of Europe as well as Asia and Africa. That said, this one is not likely to go worldwide, and most likely not heading to the US. And honestly, not coming to the US does not come as much of a surprise given the excitement surrounding Android and the iPhone at the moment. After all, how many are going to be looking for a Bada powered smartphone?
