Halo: Reach Being Sold Early By Retailers? [Reports Suggest Halo: Reach Gets Sold Early By Retailers Following The Leaked Version, Final Game Still Coming September 14th]
Every video game console on the market comes with it some hefty exclusives. For the Nintendo it’s Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby and the like, for the Playstation 3 it’s LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, and for the Xbox 360 it’s Halo, among other things.

Due to Halo being such a valuable asset to Microsoft, they have been known to throw an enormous amount of money towards a marketing push for the game. This shouldn’t come as a surprise seeing how the entire Halo franchise has sold over 34 million copies worldwide, netting its respective companies $1.7 billion in gross revenue. Halo: Reach, (the franchise’s latest title and last by Bungie) has spawned epic cinematic television spots that barely even feature actual game play.
It’s pretty much common knowledge that Halo: Reach will be quite a high seller, if not the highest seller for the year.
Unfortunately, this hype is not an entirely good thing as it leads to immense efforts in leaking the game. In fact, Halo: Reach has been pirated and strewn across torrent sites due to a leaked version from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Now familiar with this story? Read more here.
Anyways, today we bring to you reports that the highly anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive has been sold early by some retailers. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you where exactly these retailers are located because we don’t even know.
If you were one lucky enough to snag a copy early we have to warn you, Microsoft has been known to ban players who play a game before its street date. Although, actually paying for a copy early as opposed to illegally downloading it from one of these torrent sites doesn’t really compare.
As for the rest of us, well, we’ll jst be stuck waiting until September 14th when Halo: Reach is made available exclusively for the Xbox 360.
