NEC Announces New Face Recognition Technology
If this new technology of NEC picks up, a lot of people and groups are going to be identified easier regardless if they have aged or put on some weight.
Familiar perhaps if you are an avid watcher of CSI or NCIS, the new face recognition technology offers a more accurate detail for people despite changes physically.
The new NEC technology can track human faces in accurate fashion, something around 95% if it is based on this test conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The new technology focuses on the eyes, mouth and nose which are the most likely features that don’t change as much through the years.
Regardless of year gap, it seems that the enumerated parts mentioned above are more than enough to identify people, a handy tool particularly for the people on the law enforcement side.
Well, at least now, we can see those fictitious approaches come to life. Now all that is left is for NEC to deploy it, which if all goes according to plan may be in the near future.
