iPad Production Ramps Up, Deliveries Available in 24 Hours [Apple Gets a Breather, Manages to Ramp up iPad Production to Meet Demand]
Those of you looking to buy an iPad, now’s the time to do it! It looks like Apple is ready to ship any tablet version your way in around 24 hours which means that either production must be up to meet demand, or that the demand has decreased in the recent weeks.

Although I’m rather inclined to believe it’s the first variant as the iPad is pretty much the only product in its niche that customers want. There are plenty of upcoming rivals ready to challenge that position but all we have so far are rumors and leaks. The iPad doesn’t have a real competitor in stores, and by the time one actually comes alone, Apple will have the next-gen iPad in the open.
So assuming the demand is still high for Apple’s iPad we can only conclude that Cupertino has ramped up production. Ordering any iPad right now is a lot easier than a few weeks ago. Instead of waiting from 7 to 10 days or between 3 and 5 days, you’ll only have to wait 24 hours for it to be delivered to your door.
And it looks that other markets show a similar timeframe for shipping the new iPad, no matter what version you choose, which means that Apple’s international online stores will also satisfy your tablet needs in 24 hours or less..
But what if demand isn’t as high anymore? That can also be an explanation for Apple’s rise of iPad stock. Maybe people aren’t buying them as fast as they used to do it a few weeks ago, although there’s no way of knowing that yet.
Come September 1 we will probably find out more details about Apple’s performance when it comes to iPad and iPhone 4 sales. As usual, Steve Jobs’ keynote will start off with a general presentation of Apple’s latest performance as Cupertino certainly likes to brag with numbers, especially at an iOS-related event such as the one we’re about to see in a few days.
