ViewSonic Android Tablet Spotted in Rendered Images [ViewSonic Android Tablet Pictured, Shows Off Front Facing Camera & Android-Style Touch Sensitive Buttons]

This is not the first mention of an Android tablet coming from ViewSonic, in fact just a short while back we learned how they were planning to unveil a 7 inch and 10 inch model during IFA. Both models have been dubbed the ViewPad and as of today we have two more images to pass on.

Unfortunately neither of these are in-the-wild, and are instead rendered images. That said, they do give us a good idea of what to expect. Sadly though, the images did not come with much more in terms of specs. Another point of issue with these images is that we are unsure of whether or not this is the ViewPad 7 or the ViewPad 10.

That aside though, given the touch-sensitive buttons on the right hand side, this one certainly looks like it will be packing Android. Of course, those buttons are the standards which include Home, Menu, Search and Back. Otherwise we can see the USB port as well as headphone jack, microphone and front facing camera.

The remaining specs for the tablet are said to also included a microSD card slot, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and optional 3G. As for the operating systems, the ViewPad 7 is expected to only have Android while the ViewPad 10 has been described as a dual-boot machine with Windows and Android.

But in the end, it has been mentioned that these ViewPad tablets are simply a rebranding of the OlivePad, which is better known as “India’s first 3.5G Pad.” That said, regardless of where the tablet have appeared first, I am still thinking it looks nice and anxious to see the official unveiling. With that, it looks like we will have to sit back and wait for some more leaks, well that or IFA which is scheduled to kick off on September 3rd in Berlin Germany.
