New iPod touch 4G & iPod nano 6G Details Emerge [iPod touch 4G & iPod nano 6G to Surprise With New Designs; Changes Implied by New Rumors]

Yesterday we’ve seen a couple of leaked iPod touch 4G and iPod nano 6G cases that were suggesting some important design changes for these two upcoming Apple products. And it looks like today we have more rumors on the matter, which seem to confirm that both the new iPod touch and the iPod nano will look a lot different than its predecessors.

Besides the front facing and the back camera, the new iPod touch 4G is going to have a different back shape. No need to worry about having a back made of Gorilla Glass on the new iPod touch though! The back is just getting flatter than the one found on the previous model. It will resemble the top of a MacBook Pro, in case you’re familiar with it.

Since we’re talking about the back of the iPod touch 4G, we can’t disregard that back camera. It will either come with a LED flash or with a microphone similar to the one found on the current iPod nano.

Moving on to the iPod nano 6G, it looks like that case we’ve seen is made for this device after all. The new iPod nano is getting smaller, and will have a 3x3cm touchscreen display. Previous rumors were saying that the new display is going to be mounted on either the next nano or shuffle but now it looks like the iPod nano is the one to change shapes.

We only have four days to go until Apple’s music-centered media event in San Francisco, so it doesn’t really matter what rumors say at this point.
