BlackBerry Curve 3G Tipped For September 8th Release With T-Mobile USA [BlackBerry 9300, aka Curve 3G Rumored To Arrive With T-Mobile On September 8th]

RIM officially unveiled the BlackBerry 9300, which is also know as the Curve 3G earlier in the month. That announcement came with the good news that the 9300 would be able to get an upgrade to BlackBerry 6 when it was available. Unfortunately, like many of the announcements from RIM, we are left wondering which carriers would pick up the device.

Thankfully, T-Mobile made an announcement of their own shortly after RIM. In fact, it came on the same day. And to add another similarity to the RIM announcement, T-Mobile also failed to mention some of the important details in their press release. Notably missing was the pricing and release date.

While we sit here a few weeks later, we are still left wondering when and how much. But that is where the internet and the rumors come into play. According to the latest chatter, which is coming courtesy of TmoNews and a “trusty” source, T-Mobile will release the BlackBerry Curve 3G on September 8th. As in just a short while from now.

Nothing was mentioned in terms of pricing, but at least we have a date to focus on. In the meantime, once we have more we will be sure to keep you updated. And for those digging the Curve 3G and not a fan of T-Mobile, you may be out of luck, at least for a little while. Well, that is unless you happen to be in Canada where it is already available with Rogers as well as Bell Mobility.

Lastly, lets do a quick recap of the specs. The BlackBerry Curve 3G will feature a 2.4 inch QVGA (320 x 240) display, 2-megapixel camera with zoom and video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, 624MHz processor, 256MB internal memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack and BlackBerry 5 at launch. The Curve 3G will also ship with a 2GB microSD card included.
