Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S) Android Smartphone Tipped For September Release
A Galaxy S smartphone for all four of the major US mobile carriers, that was the news back at the end of June. And truth be told, considering we are still waiting for some of these handsets to come available — that is still the news today.

Of course, we have already seen AT&T and T-Mobile launch the Captivate and Vibrant. Plus, Sprint is just a few days from having the Epic 4G in the available device lineup. So we have gone from four to one now. The remaining handset is the Fascinate, which will be released with Verizon wireless.
As for official details, we are still waiting on something from Verizon, however Android blog Phandroid seem to have it narrowed down to September. And early to mid-September at that.
According to the details, the SGH-I500 (which is the model number for the Fascinate) has been spotted on a leaked screen shot from an internal Verizon Wireless system. That alone is said to suggest a September release. But thankfully there is more to support that.
In addition, the Samsung Fascinate, or more specifically, the “Samsung Fascinate a Galaxy S phone” along with Verizon Wireless are going to be sponsoring the MTV Music Awards. Big deal, no really. The reasoning behind that is due to the awards taking place on September 12th. Given that, we can conclude an early to mid September release of the Fascinate. After all, do you think Verizon would want all that publicity for the phone and not have it available?
Then again, we have heard such details in the past. A leaked roadmap that came available a while back suggested a late-September release. But then that was disregarding due to later rumors suggesting an October release. Either way, we are still waiting for something with Verizon, but that said, these latest rumors surrounding the MTV Music Awards have some logic.
