CDMA iPhone Not Done Yet; Qualcomm Needs Help [Qualcomm Is Hiring iPhone Expert for Verizon iPhone “Secret” Project]
We have one more thrilling episode in the Verizon iPhone rumor saga, and this time around it concerns the obvious Verizon partner that’s going to help Apple build the CDMA iPhone, namely, Qualcomm.

It seems that Qualcomm is not quite done with that CDMA chipset needed by a Verizon iPhone. Why else would it hire an iPhone expert to work on “the most challenging product of your life!?”
The job has been posted over two weeks ago and here’s what you need to know:
The iPhone has no secret for you? Well, that’s what you think… join us and develop the most challenging product of your life!
You are driven by a very strict development discipline, well versed in Agile, and your passion is to bring product in the hands of consumers. You have been exposed to application or game development on mobile for years and you have developed deployed apps on the iPhone. Join us now: we are small fast moving team working in a lab 24hrs/day!
Well, hopefully Qualcomm is not going to trail behind and delay the Verizon iPhone launch, whenever that is supposed to take place. On the other hand Qualcomm has a ton of experience working with various carriers and manufacturers out there so we shouldn’t be worried, right? Speaking of other mobile platforms, the person who’s getting the job won’t be restricted to iPhone development:
iPhone software design and development but not restricted to it: we expect you to be part of the team and contribute to all aspects of the product development including Android, Web development, Server side development and operation aspects.
Well I guess it doesn’t get any clearer than that! We’re reading more and more Verizon iPhone rumors day in and day out and all circumstantial evidence points to a 2011 CDMA iPhone, but this job listing nails it: Qualcomm, Apple and Verizon are building the first CDMA iPhone. Anyone else willing to confirm everything?
