New iPod touch 4G, iTV & 99-cent TV Shows Coming on September 7 at Apple Event? [Apple Said to Host Music & TV Media Event in San Francisco on September 7]
By now we all know that Apple has a special media event scheduled for September in order to launch the new iPod touch 4G, the other new iPod models, the new Apple TV (iTV) and quite possibly to announce those 99-cent TV shows we keep hearing about.

And today it looks like we have a date for that music- and TV-centered event: September 7. Previous rumors also said that a 7-inch iPad will also be announced soon and since a MacBook Air refresh is also due, will Apple show us these products too?
The iPod touch 4G is definitely coming this September. We’ve seen way too many leaks to still have any doubts about it. The new iPod touch will come with a front-facing camera for video calls, a Retina Display panel just like the one found on the iPhone 4 and support for FaceTime calls via email. These features aren’t confirmed yet, but everything is based on previous leaks, so we’re pretty confident about them.
But Apple will also launch a couple of new iPod models too, with one of them rumored to get a 3x3cm touchscreen display too, possibly the new iPod nano.
One other star of the show should be iOS 4.1.The new OS will enable FaceTime video calls on the iPod touch, besides other features. We’re also due an iPad firmware refresh since Apple promised one way back in April. iOS 4 for iPad should finally bring multitasking to the iPad, and all the other pillars Steve Jobs unveiled in Spring.
Apple TV is also rumored to be launched on September 7 and besides finding out whether they’re going to call it iTV or not, we’re also interested in those 99-cent TV shows we’ve seen yesterday.
As for a new 7-inch iPad and MacBook Air refresh, although we’d love to see these new products announced soon, the September 7 event will probably focus only on music and TV. Are you waiting for anything in particular from Apple’s event?
Oh, and by the way, since the free bumper/case for iPhone 4 program ends on September 30, maybe during the September 7 event someone from Apple could also tell us what’s happening thereafter in order to fix the Death Grip issue.
