Motorola Quench XT5 Android Smartphone Specs Revealed [Motorola Quench XT5 To Feature 3.2" Display, 5MP Camera & Running Android 2.1 Eclair]
Motorola has yet to officially announce the Quench XT5 smartphone, however that has not stopped the internets from digging up a solid set of specs along with a fairly decent render of the phone itself. Of course, this only serves as a follow up to the FCC listing that popped up in early July.

And perhaps a little more important, it also confirms that fact that the Quench XT5 is not going to be a high end device. That said, just because the XT5 is not a high end device does not mean it should be ignored. As for the specs, some we did already know which include the usual smartphone suspects including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, GPS/aGPS and USB 2.0.

In addition we can now also confirm that the Motorola Quench XT5 will have a 3.2 inch HVGA (320 x 480) touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, microUSB, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, an FM radio, support for DivX video files and a 1270mAh battery that should be able to offer up to 6.4 hours of talk time and 22.7 days on standby. In terms of Android — that will be 2.1 Eclair.
Moving on and we also know that the Quench XT5 will have measurements of 56 x 114 x 13mm with a weight of 114 grams.
In terms of network support, the listing is showing WCDMA 900/1900/2100, GSM 850/900/1800/1900, HSDPA 7.2 and EDGE. Bottom line, it looks like this one is heading to Europe as opposed to the US. Granted, that almost seems a given considering the pricing was noted as being “a sub-Rs 15,000 price point.”
A few points worth noting after checking out the image/render. This handset has a trackball for navigation, which is something not always found on some of the newer Android handsets (including some from Motorola). Personally, I like the trackball, but at the same time it is something that I can easily live without. The other point is that this handset appears to have a plain jane vanilla Android install going on, of course that could just be for the purpose of the image.
