ASUS N53JN and N73JN Hit Great Britain

The Two New ASUS Laptops Pack Blu-Ray and Expanded Sound Quality

Admittedly, there’s been a bit of a lag since the announcement of the new Asus N-series laptops and their actual arrival (okay, so it’s been six months). But the good news is–at least for the British–is that the laptops have arrived and they’re bringing some serious spec sheets along with them.

The 15.6 inch Asus N53JN is set to offer an Intel Core i5 processor with Nvidia GeForce GT325/415M graphics, 320 gigs of storage, a Blu-ray drive and USB 3.0 ports for the equivalent of $1,005 at the entry level, and up to $1,545 if you get it fully tricked out.

The 17.3-inch Asus N73JN, meanwhile, is going to be roughly the same as its slightly smaller cousin, but will boast a pair of 320 gig hard drives and ask the equivalent of $2,081.

The big draw for these, however, is set to be the sound system. Both devices will included SonicMaster sound technology, which Asus is quick to assure us is not at all a gimmick, but rather the result of toil and strain on the part of their “Golden Ear” team as part of a coalition with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower.

Whether or not the claims are true is left up to the ear of the beholder, but for a fully tricked-out laptop like this, it might be worth your time to try it.
