Apple’s Fall Press Event Gets Official [Press Invites Go Out For September 1st, Music-Theme Products Coming According To Weird Photoshopped Invitation]
A September Apple press event has been rumored for sometime and earlier today it was reported as coming September 7th. Well, now it’s gotten official. Press invites have gone out for the event, which’ll go down on September 1st, with the show getting underway at 10AM Pacific time. Wow!

An image that was attached to invitation was an acoustic guitar, but instead of a normal looking sound hole, it has an Apple-shaped one. A rather interesting Photoshop job, but it does confirm that the show will be about music. As many of our readers know, Apple traditionally shows off new iPods at their fall event.
But, new iPods may take a back seat to this summer’s hottest Apple rumor regarding the AppleTV redesign, or iTV as it will allegedly be called. For those who have missed out on the rumors – allegedly we’ll see the AppleTV given iOS and the ability to do 720p. These rumors are nothing new, but now it’ll be called iTV.
We doubt it’ll be called iTV considering that was the codename for the AppleTV and the British network ITV will have a legal heartattack if Apple does something so flagrant.
There is a lot of interesting possibility that could come out if iOS was added to the iTV. While running iPhone apps at 720p on a HDTV would look awful, the app store environment could be interesting on the TV ecosystem. We’ll see what Apple unveils.
