Samsung Galaxy Tab Makes Official Video Debut [Samsung Releases Official Teaser Launch Video For Galaxy Tab Android Powered Tablet, Says We Will Learn More Come September 2]
While consumers have arguably yet to really find out what they are actually good for, tablets with slate form factors have been generating a great deal of industry buzz. As I’ve said several times in the past much of this buzz can largely be attributed to the success of Apple’s iPad. 3 million units in about 80 days? Sounds impressive enough to me.

It’s impressive enough to other companies as well as just about every hardware manufacturer in the book has come forth at one point or another to announce their own iPad competitors. Decently hyped devices that may come to mind of this nature are the now defunct HP Slate and the forthcoming ASUS EeePad. Samsung too has their own device that looks to capitalize on the success of their Galaxy S smart phone dubbed the Galaxy Tab.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab has shown its face in several different forms on several different occasions. In fact, earlier today we did the honors of showing you several pictures of the device that had just been leaked. Accompanying said leaked pictures were some specs which included a 7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 1,024 x 768 resolution, a PowerVR SGX 540 GPU, a 3.2 megapixel camera with VGA front-facing camera, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 3G and GPS.
While this massive leak filled in pretty much every crack that was left open by Samsung, the company had yet to officially announce the device. Luckily, Samsung has just released a teaser trailer showing off the Galaxy Tab in all of its glory. Of course, seeing how it’s just a teaser video we don’t really get an in depth look at the device but some things that are to make note of are Swype, HD video playback, augmented reality and an extremely sexy form factor – as we’ve already seen.
On top of all of that, they also listed September 2nd, 2010 as the date upon which they will official unveil the device further.
