Saints Row Double Pack To Offer Both Games For Low Price

Despite Not Being On A Blu-Ray Disc, THQ Manages To Fit Saints Row 1 and 2 Onto A Single Disc

While the PlayStation 3 may have seen it’s share of multi-game collections, THQ and Microsoft aren’t to be outdone. THQ is going to soon be offering a ‘Saints Row Double Pack’ which will include both great crime open-world games, Saints Row 1 and 2. It’ll be an Xbox 360 Platinum Hits game and therefore, and will be retailing for the low-low price of $30.

Before you worry about how they managed to fit two full-sized games onto a single DVD9 disc, don’t worry – it comes with two discs, one for each game. You’ve got wonder if they would be able to fit both on a single Blu-Ray disc. While we’re thinking about that – don’t bother holding out for a PS3 version of this collection. Saints Row 1 was an Xbox 360 exclusive and I doubt THQ will waste the time to port it at this point.

For those who missed both Saints Row 1 and 2 – they’re very solid open-world games. They’re sort of comedic in the same vein as the GTA 3-era of GTA games were. And $30 for both isn’t a bad deal by any means.

For fans of the Saints Row series? What’s the status of Saints Row 3? We’re hearing that the game was supposed to be demoed at E3 2010 and had a planned holiday 2010 release date. Now, it’s being alleged that the game will be unveiled in December for a summer 2011 release date.
