Virgin Mobile USA Confirms $40 Unlimited Mobile Broadband Plans

Virgin Mobile USA Will Offer Unlimited Mobile Broadband For Just $40 Starting August 24th

I remember during the Internet’s infancy I always dreamed of having a connection wherever I went. The thought of even being able to browse the web at all while on the go was fascinating. Now, that dream has become a reality and we’re not only able to browse the web but also stream high definition video, make video conference calls, keep tabs on social networks and much more all thanks to high speed mobile connections.

While mobile broadband connections are becoming less of a luxury and more of an everyday thing, they are still quite expensive. Add that to the fact that many mobile carriers are beginning to cap bandwith instead of offering unlimited data and those expenses can get even higher.

Luckily, their are some budget carriers out there such as MetroPCS who still offer unlimited services for a low price but just how long is this going to last? When the mobile broadband touting population increases, offering unlimited bandwith may cease to make sense.

However, Virgin Mobile USA apparently thinks there is some money in offering unlimited bandwith as they have just confirmed via Facebook their plans to do just that. Previously, Virgin had offered various prepaid data only plans with their max bandwith offering being 5GB for $60 per month. Now, they have announced that they will be offering unlimited data for just $40 prepaid. Additionally, you can also grab 100MB of data for just $10 but that will expire after 10 days so it may not be the wisest purchase ever.

These new wireless data plans will reportedly go live on August 24th where you’ll be able to use them with the recently launched Virgin Mobile USA MiFi that we told you about back in June. Of course, if that doesn’t float your boat, there are a few other offerings from Virgin Mobile that you’ll be able to use to access Sprint’s network.

Anyone out there looking to get down on this deal? If so, let us know.
